    And that, in a nutshell, is why homophobia in the Caribbean is so difficult to understand, so easy to misconstrue, and so challenging to confront - it is a morass of Victorian prudishness and religious fundamentalism combined with an extreme interpretation of masculinity and imbued with a sense of developing-country nationalism and a post-colonial assertion of sovereignty.

    Jamacian prime minister is giving statements which are opposing his own statements. In reality i think he does not like homosexual people, but he is saying about the equality just because now the time is changing and he can not be against this anymore in people eyes

    i find trinidad and tobago is to backward when coming to gays in there country. america is a place were anyone could get married. i am a man married to a man and i am happy with it so just deal with it and snap out off this stupidness.
